I found and fell in love with yoga in college. For me, yoga just made sense: it was a spiritual, emotional and physical exercise. When I started doing yoga in 2008, I quickly realized that it was alleviating my of back pain that I had faced for many years as well as making me more aware of my body and breath. After practicing for a few years, I took a job in Massachusetts as a yoga instructor at a summer camp for kids. I loved it because I began to understand just how important yoga was for these kids. From there I did private lessons and shortly after that began teaching at Freight House. It’s my goal to bring a fun yoga class to everyone I can so they can experience freedom in an area of their mind or body that they didn’t have before. In my perfect yoga class, upbeat music would be plentiful and no one would be intimidated! I want to encourage you that, at one time, I couldn’t touch my toes either.
